Chef and owner, Fulvio Valsecchi has been delighting South Carolina patrons with authentic Northern Italian cuisine for more than 37 years. Born and raised in Italy's beautiful Lake Como region,

Chef Fulvio discovered his profound love for cooking at an early age.

At 16, he started his culinary studies in Milan, Italy and traveled the world preparing outstanding and innovative dishes for resorts from the Bahamas, The Ly Ford Key, Cafe Martinique and Nassau Beach Resorts to renowned private clubs. In 1969 he and his family settled in Hilton Head where he was executive Chef for Sea Pines Plantation. During his tenure at Sea Pines, he had the distinct pleasure of being the personal chef for

Vice President Gerald Ford and guests while they vacationed.

In 1976 Fulvio opened his first restaurant in Hilton Head and later after much success relocated his family to Columbia where he opened Ristorante Divino which now resides at 803 Gervais Street in the Historic Vista .
