Settling on Hilton Head Island in 1969, he then became the Executive Chef for Sea Pines Plantation. Fulvio remembers Hilton Head Island when there were no traffic lights, a one lane road and Harbor Town was rushing to be completed for the first Heritage Golf Classic. During his tenure at Sea Pines, he had the distinct pleasure of being the personal chef for Vice President Gerald Ford and guests for a week while he was on vacation. In 1976, after 6 years at Sea Pines, Fulvio opened his first restaurant. Followed by many others, he is most recognized for Fulvio's Fine Dining.
After living on Hilton Head Island for more than 25 years, Fulvio and his family relocated to Columbia, SC. Celebrating our 10 year anniversary at Ristorante Divino on Gervais Street Fulvio and his staff wanted to say thank you to Columbia and give back to the community. On November 17, 2007 Ristorante Divino was pleased to award Sister Care, a local non-profit organization helping battered woman, with a check for $4,500 and a raffle was held giving away a dinner for 10 people.
Once you enter Ristorante Divino you will find yourself in a cozy and elegant atmosphere with its polished Italian wood, brick walls, and white table cloths. We are truly an Italian gem tucked away in Columbia. Step out of your world and into our home.
